Is Christmas really what it's sought out to be?

I really should get use to this whole blogging scenario. I tend to forget about this thing.

So Christmas was a joke. I was left alone at home with some other nuisances at hand, just couldn't have been any better. Wouldn't you agree? Of course not.
Guess Santa forgot one person behind this year...

Besides that, my dear Julia bought me out for a bit of a mood changer, thought watching a movie would put me in the happy spirit I out to be in during this festive time. Well, didn't do much on the festive end but it definitely made my day a lot better. We saw "It's Complicated" (I saw it for the 2nd time) and of course it left me in quite the cheery mood. The drama, comedy, and random pot smoking in your kid's bathroom definitely made it a night to remember. Oh and thank you for the lovely cornbread my dear. Julia<3

During the previews, I noticed a movie Geekar had mentioned to me previously about watching. It's called "Dear John". Of course it had to be from the creator of the notebook, I mean where else do these insignificant, sappy movies derive from? Well, long story short, I looked into it and did my research. The ending makes the movie even worse and recommend that you save your pennies and go with "The Lovely Bones". Although it's been pushed a bit on it's release date due to all the hype on the current movies, I assure you that the movie will be just as breath taking as the book was. I was just a bit upset that the movie and book don't correlate as much as I'd hoped for, but a positive thumbs up none the less.

Final thoughts? I should really start packing. I have about 5 days left minus 3 for the two days reserved for Aya, Alyssa, and Mel and New Years Eve. Basically that leaves me with 2, Tomorrow and Wednesday... unless something pops up then as well. I guess I'll just have to go with the flow.

Peace and salutations world... for now.

A day at the museum...

So today was interesting. A normal day that started out fussy and ended on a "full" note.

A planned get together amongst a few friends that had originally been set for a group of 8, somehow turned into 6. Understandable that one backed out ahead of time, but some people just don't have a functioning brain. When a message was sent out the night before with a specific time and place to meet, you can't use the excuse of "I asked what was going on, but everyone was so consumed in some other co
nversation that I got confused". It was a simple facebook message. Did you bother to read the ENTIRE thread? Of course not, because certain human beings just don't have the capability to THINK.

After that irritating note, we all met up and proceeded into the American Museum of Natural History.

THANK YOU TIM FOR THE FREE TICKETS!

After a moment of arguing on which exhibits were best (limitation of 3 per person), we finally came to the following decision.
  1. Frogs: A Chorus of Colors
  2. Extreme Mammals
  3. Planetarium: Cosmic Collision
Here's a preview of the "FROGS" exhibit-

Having seen Cosmic Collision about 5 times, the planetarium sphere was nothing more then a place to sit, relax, and take a small nap. Apparently, my waking moment was priceless (as said by everyone else).

After the museum, we head over to China Town for dinner as planned. We ended up eating family style, which definitely made my day. Along with the "pulling a Winnie" or "only Nidaa would...", or my absolute favorite (as said by Jenn) "I gave him the green like to go, now he has to park the car". Definitely one of those enjoying days...
After dinner we decided on bubble tea from Quickly's. As always I got my Taro Milk Tea and then made our way to Columbus Park.

Quite the lovely day I'd say. Wouldn't you?

A week off of work for some relaxation...

So today started off like any other. Slept in till the late afternoon, woke up to find no one home, and a note on my dresser telling me to clean up the mess I call my room.
That's been the case for the past week or so. I keep promising to tidy up a bit, but sadly that's not the case. I guess I'll EVENTUALLY get around to it.

I never really thought having this week off would be this agonizing. I've really been up to nothing. Having this week off was suppose to allow me to catch up with old and new friends, sleep in for self pleasures, and maybe get some work done around the house. For some odd reason, nothing has gone according to plan. Everyone's just too busy with WORK, my sleeping in late is giving me neck pains, and the work around the house keeps piling up. ::sigh::

The Yankees have been on a 7 game winning streak. At least that's a positive so far...

Current "eye candy" to buy (cant wait to get paid)... **Blowfish Sandals and Baggins.**
